On Anniversary of Father’s Death, 21 Year Old Male Commits Suicide After Break-Up with Girlfriend

Effiong Otu, a 21-year-old student of Maritime Academy Oron, committed suicide on Thursday morning by hanging himself on a rope in his room, allegedly after his girlfriend broke up with him.

A family member named Ann, revealed to Vanguard Newspaper, that he was found hanging in his room, a few minutes after he collected a rope from neighbours. They were suspicious when he went into his room with the rope.
