Vice Chairman of Sun Newspapers Dimgba Igwe Passes Away

Dimgba Igwe, Vice Chairman of the Sun Newspapers, passed away on Saturday morning in Lagos, after he sustained injuries from an accident

.

He was reportedly knocked down by a vehicle while he was jogging around his residence located in Okota, Vanguard reports.

Immediately after the accident occurred, Igwe was rushed to the hospital where surgery was conducted, but unfortunately; he died afterwards.

He was 58 years old.

Igwe alongside Mike Awoyinfa, masterminded the founding of the Sun Newspaper and the Weekend Concord newspaper. He was also  Assistant General overseer of Evangel Pentecostal Church, Lagos.
