Iyabo Ojo goes Back to School…Well Kind Of!

No this is not the set of a new movie.

On Tuesday 24th June 2014, Nollywood actress famous for starring in numerous Yoruba speaking movies, Iyabo Ojo joined students and the staff of National College Gbagada, Lagos for a one-of-a-kind event.

The event is a Celebrity Back To School (CBS) Initiative in which some of your favourite celebrities and personalities including actor/comedian Hafiz Oyetoro popularly known as Saka, and Lagos State Executive Chairman Gbolahan Daodu, visit their Alma maters.

Ballywalls Integrated took Iyabo Ojo to her school – National College, Gbagada, Lagos. She was dressed in the school uniform, and sandals. The mother of 2 – Festus and Priscilla, fit the part by also opting for an all-back hairstyle.

Iyabo Ojo was actively involved. She was part of the Assembly with other students, as well as recited and took part of the proceedings before being led to her classroom.

She was marked as present in the attendance sheet, answered and solved questions in Algebra Equation.

At the open field, there were loads of activities including a drama presentation by students and a musical performance dedicated to the missing Chibok girls.

The head girl of the school, Osas was given the honour of reading Iyabo’s profile , while she mentored students and presented the school with her donations.

“You must all know that education is very important in everything you do in life but you must equally follow your passion, be determined, be hardworking and don’t get distracted and lose hope because the sky is just the beginning. So, everything that I am today, the foundation started from National College, Gbagada here and I am proud to pass through this school” Iyabo said to all present.

Iyabo later became a graduate of Estate Management at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, Lagos.

Iyabo promised a physically challenged boy Fortune that through her foundation – Pinkies Foundation, she will support his education.

She was also reunited with some old students at the school.
