3 Gorgeous Ankara Infused Wedding Guest Looks! | Gee of KnotsVilla
Thinking of BN Weddings and the full African vibe, I knew I had to include African pieces in these boards. Not only did I want African pieces but I wanted pieces actually made by Africans.I have created these boards with the wedding occasion in mind but also the taste of the girl who would be wearing them. Are you someone who is bold in wearing African prints? Or someone who would rather just have little pieces here and there? Then hopefully one of these 3 boards should appeal to you.
Ankara & Silver:
This Ankara and Silver is right up the formal lane. It is a look obviously for a bold African lover. I am looking at the dress and I can see a stunning wedding guest in it. I do love the two-toned look of this board, the mix of pattern against the solid which makes it not too much but still elegant. Talking about elegance, I think the length is perfect too; this fit and flare dress by Afro Mod Trends is just right. Because of how colorful/busy the dress is, I figured silver simple accessories would be the right combination.

Gold & Green:
This look is definitely for the girl who is interested in hints of Africa and more on the “less is more” side. This look was created in mind for a Bride to her engagement party, but could definitely work for a guest as well. Many times brides opt for white dresses to any of their wedding events but this gold/light metallic dress throws in a different bridal look and for the bride that likes to be different, this could work. Having this semi-formal dress, I thought we bring Africa into it this with the Adodi Print Clutch; it is subtle but still makes an African statement. The gold accessories simply compliment the dress and the buckle on the clutch while the black colored shoes is pulled from the black print on the clutch alone.

Brown & Blue:
Now this is just for play! And nothing says play like a casual/semi-formal bridal shower for a guest in this short African print dress by Simply Cecily. For this look I wanted something fun but also a bit formal that is why I added heels instead of flats (of course gorgeous flats could work too!) This look is also for the bold African print lover at heart with no reservations whatsoever, and I think the model passes that message across especially with her pose. The brown and blue addition of her clutch, accessories and shoes clearly come from the dress, as usual the dress is already on the “much” side so I happily toned it down with solid colors for the other pieces.

Kudos to those who continue to make gorgeous and elegant African print clothing; after how much time it took me in researching about these designers, I now have a deeper level of appreciation for them!
