Odio Mimonet & Orange Culture launch S/S2015 Collections at 14th Pitti W & Uomo Trade Show, Italy
Nigerian fashion brands Odio Mimonet and Orange Culture are currently in Florence, Italy representing Nigeria at the 14th edition Pitti Immagine Trade Show.
The event – which is an exclusive selection of 75 international brands which will present innovative collections with a high stylistic content for Spring/Summer 2015 – will last for 3 days (Tuesday 17th – Friday 20th June 2014) with fabulous fashion collection premieres, capsule collections and special proposals.
Odio Mimonet, owned by Odio Oseni, debuted its Cruise S/S2015 collection titled “Voyage” yesterday Tuesday 17th June 2014 at the Pitti W (Womenswear) showcase.
Taking to their Facebook page, OM described the collection as one that “celebrates the richness of the Nigerian Yoruba culture. The choice of hand dyed prints from Nigeria’s Oshogbo town and stamp prints reminiscent of the old Yoruba Kingdom, creates the perfect medium of expression for fluid silhouettes with a hint of structure, skilfully hand finished with embellished details.“

While Odio celebrated womenswear at Pitti W, Nigerian menswear label Orange Culture owned byAdebayo Oke-Lawal also showcased his menswear collection – “Dovetail” in collaboration withSlippers by Kene Rapu at the Pitti Uomo Trade Show.
The event is a platform for men’s clothing and accessory collections and for launching new projects in men’s fashion.
