Pope Francis Decries Marijuana Legalization
At a drug enforcement conference in Rome, Pope Francis condemned the current trend of marijuana legalization in different parts of the world.
The head of the Roman Catholic Church said legalizing marijuana “won’t bring any positive results,” and that the motive for legalizing the drug was “highly questionable,” The Washington Times reports.
The 77-year-old pontiff’s comments come just as Uruguay approved the selling of marijuana cigarettes in pharmacies and the legalization of recreational marijuana use in Washington and Colorado.
